October 23-30

Olivia is getting so big now.  She can hold her head up consistently and grab things with her hands.  She scoots around on her back, but doesn't realize she's doing it.  She smiles in response to our smiles, although she's usually very serious as soon as I pull out a camera of any sort.  I can't even fool her by using my phone camera.

Tuesday we put up the Johnny Jump Up for the first time.  She's still a little small for it, and she prefers eating it to jumping in it.

Wednesday Olivia learned that she can grab the hanging toys on her play arch.  Up to this point she'd been making noise by hitting the side of the arch with her arm.

Thursday she was SuperBaby in an outfit from the Lichtensteins.  I also caught a smile on camera AND got a picture of her new rattle-holding skills.  She likes the sound that the rattle makes, but she doesn't realize that she is the one shaking it.

Saturday was Trick-or-Treating day for us.  Since Olivia was going to be in bed by the time the festivities started, we dressed her up early just for a photo-op.  She was a very scary lion.

October 16-23

I think this photo shoot took place because people said I hadn't put up any new pictures recently.  Judging from the lack of pictures in last week's post, they were right:

She is NOT impressed by our matching leopard print selves:

Olivia had her 2 month check-up on Friday.  She's 13 lbs, 2 oz and 24.5 inches tall.  Everything looks good and all parties are pleased with her growth and developmental progress.

Saturday was Bryan's cousin's wedding and marked the last one we're attending this year.

October 2-9

Sunday was Justine and Joseph's wedding (that's them in the first picture, in case anyone forgot who they were).  It would appear that Bryan and I didn't know quite what to make of the happy event.  Since all the family photographers were in the wedding and Bryan had his hands full with Olivia, I don't have a picture of her.  She was there, though, I promise.  Or, rather, Bryan promises.  :)

Friday we drove to Virginia for another wedding.  Olivia got VERY used to being in her carseat.  She did well for the road trip and wedding, but we're all happy to be home again today.

September 25-October 2

Thursday we did a brief photo shoot in a pumpkin hat that a friend made for Olivia.  A warning to children: this is what happens when you refuse to go to sleep at night.  Mom and Dad amuse themselves by taking pictures.

This weekend we're in Michigan for Justine and Joseph's wedding.  This is a trial run for Dad and Olivia as they spend a lot of time together while Mom does wedding stuff.  They get to repeat the process next weekend while I'm in another wedding.
