Well, Kaitlyn's teeth officially lost the race. Although little white teeth can be seen beneath her gums, they haven't popped through yet. Her cousin, on the other hand, made his appearance on Thursday.
Kaitlyn did make progress in other areas this week. She can now roll from her stomach to her back, at least accidentally. She did it twice in one day, but didn't seem particularly pleased with the results. Kaitlyn definitely prefers to be on her stomach these days, rolling over to play as well as to nap. She's gotten pretty good at reaching for things (although her depth perception is laughably poor), and being on her stomach gives her more control over her interaction with things.
Gretchen's head had a rough time last weekend. Two minutes into Mass on Saturday, she took a nosedive off the pew and faceplanted on the kneeler. She was sporting a lovely raised bruise along her hairline by the end of the service. Then on Sunday, she managed to wiggle off her chair backwards at Liturgy and clunked the back of her head. Luckily for Gretchen, she is blessed with a tough skull and thick skin. No blood, just several painful bumps.
Gretchen is especially independent lately. She can do everything herself and doesn't need any help. Her preferred phrase is, "I got it." If she has trouble, she might ask for help after several minutes of struggle. It has to be her idea, though, because if help is offered she will most likely refuse it. Olivia, on the other hand, need help constantly. She needs to be carried, needs someone to do it for her, needs me to tell her the answers... I can't tell if their current differences are more due to age or personality.
Bryan had to work in Springfield for several days this last week, so the family spent some time in Sidney. Now we're back home expecting visitors for tomorrow's (3rd annual) fun run. :)

Your girls are getting so big! I love the Gretchen stories because I can see what was and what will be soon for William and Edward. :)
